Mos Mosh collections are known for special details, high-quality materials and a good fit that is tailored to the target group. The company is a specialist for denim and pants for fashionable women. Mos Mosh is located in Kolding in the south of Denmark and active in many European markets. At the beginning of 2017, the Munich-based family office Findos Investor acquired shares in the up-and-coming company, all the while advised by the maconda consumer-goods team.
Mos Mosh was founded by Kim Hyldahl in 2010 and celebrated its first successes in Denmark where its collections feature in boutiques all over the country. Germany has now become the largest market. Tasteful details and eye-catching appliqués are a special feature of Mos Mosh women’s pants. They are constantly adapted to customer tastes, earning them prime shelf space in retail.
maconda tasked a team with extensive expertise in fashion retail and retail with analysing the main markets and determining how Mos Mosh is positioned in the complex competitive landscape. The team assessed various sales channels and Mos Mosh’s sales approach, in part as participatory observers. They were impressed by the extremely motivated and agile sales team consisting of Mos Mosh employees and sales representatives for the various countries and regions. The analysis was based on an in-depth evaluation using findings from numerous visits to stores listing Mos Mosh products, especially in Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands, extensive discussions with fashion sales staff at these stores and – last, but not least, intensive scrutiny of competitors at Berlin Fashion Week.
