Pitstop operates a workshop network with over 300 exclusively owned branches in Germany and can look back on a 50-year history. After opening its first branch in Berlin in 1971, the company was exclusively active in the fast-fit sector for a long time \u2013 through consistent orientation and investments in further training, equipment, and technology, the workshop chain now offers almost all automotive services for all brands. HUK-COBURG Autoservice GmbH, based in D\u00fcsseldorf, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the HUK-COBURG insurance group. Since 2016, HUK-COBURG Autoservice has been arranging workshop services such as inspections, main and emissions tests, and tire changes for HUK-COBURG and HUK24 car insurance customers. These services were previously provided by around 150 Autoservice partner workshops nationwide. The Pitstop workshops will be integrated into the Autoservice network, expanding it by approximately 300 to a total of 450 workshops in over 200 cities. <\/p>\n\n

The traditional focus is on car insurance: with more than 13 million insured vehicles, HUK-COBURG is the largest German car insurer.
