maconda supports Lindsay Goldberg Vogel with a commercial due diligence for an acquisition in the packaging industry
The international maconda team supported the US American private equity house Lindsay Goldberg, which is represented in Central Europe by Lindsay Goldberg Vogel GmbH, with Due Diligence assessments including potential synergy fields multiple times in 2012.
About a week ago, the investor acquired the Plasticum Group B.V., Netherlands. The group generated sales of roughly € 61 million in 2011 and manufactures custom dispensers and caps for body care and cosmetic products, food and household products at four production sites in the Netherlands, Germany and the UK.
Back in March 2012, Lindsay Goldberg took over the leading manufacturer of plastic caps for consumer goods, Weener Plastik AG. Headquartered in Lower Saxony, the company generated sales of approximately € 140 million in 2011 and has more than 1,200 employees. Weener primarily designs, constructs and manufactures innovative plastic caps and closures for the body care/cosmetics, household, food, chemicals and pharmaceuticals segments. The product portfolio includes caps, valves, plastic bottles and jars as well as dispensers and dosing systems. The Weener Group has manufacturing sites in 21 countries and is represented in Europe and North America as well as in the dynamically growing markets of South and Central America, Africa and Asia, which was covered in our international Due Diligence approach.
