maconda supports the Dutch Sansidor Group with its market entry into Germany

The Sansidor Group, a Dutch specialist in technical inspections of buildings and facilities, has successfully launched in the German market. This was made possible by the Buy & Build strategy prepared by maconda: As of April 1, 2025, flex|sec and GBS, two experienced providers of electrical safety inspections, are the Sansidor Group’s first German partner companies, both acquired through maconda.
maconda was closely involved in all phases of the market entry – from analyzing several target industries relevant to safety inspections to initiating transactions. The starting point was an examination of the German market with regard to legally required inspection services for buildings and technical facilities, particularly focusing on electrical equipment and systems, fire protection, occupational safety, water hygiene, and air quality. maconda consultants conducted numerous discussions with market experts, associations, and authorities to find suitable target companies within the strictly federally organized German construction industry, with its sometimes widely differing regulations and authorities – a true “needle in a haystack” search.
Companies that matched the business model were approached and brought together with Sansidor, as in the case of flex|sec and GBS. It was important that the corporate cultures of the target companies and Sansidor were a good fit. A perfect match, with which, it is understood, all parties involved are very satisfied.
Last but not least, maconda provided organizational start-up assistance for Sansidor’s market entry into Germany. The consultants worked closely with Bernhard Schwarm, who has been the managing director of Sansidor Germany since mid-March. “Sansidor’s market entry was a challenging project where maconda’s strengths truly came to the fore: we are strong in analysis, very familiar with niche markets, and rely on a robust network of experts,” explains maconda managing director Rainer Mayer. “We are very pleased that we were able to win two great teams, Flex-sec and GBS, for Sansidor!”
Launch in Germany with the inspection of electrical equipment and systems
Both flex|sec and GBS are established companies for electrical safety inspections according to DGUV V3: flex|sec inspects mobile electrical devices and stationary systems. Additionally, thermography inspections are carried out. GBS focuses on inspections of mobile devices, fixed installations, welding equipment, ladders, steps, and e-charging stations. Both companies retain their brand identity and successful teams. As part of the group, they also benefit from administrative support from the Sansidor holding company – for example, in areas such as taxes, contracts, recruitment, and marketing. This principle of “Buy and Build together” is a central element of Sansidor’s strategy and the premise under which maconda helped shape the successful launch in Germany.
