COMMERCIAL DUE DILIGENCE Debt Collection & Business Process Outsourcing
In a short period, the maconda team completed two Commercial Due Diligence assessments in the less-than-transparent market for debt collection services – building on expertise from previous consulting mandates in debt collection and Business Process Outsourcing. Among others, the Swedish investor IK Investment Partners, with maconda’s support, acquired a stake in Debitor-Inkasso, an innovative German debt collection service provider.

In 2017, maconda also supported numerous projects in the software industry, including various software solutions for payroll and HR functions, Business Intelligence, and document management. Let there be light! In early 2017, maconda supported EMH Partners in their investment in Occhio, a leading provider of high-quality design lighting. This further expanded the Cologne consulting boutique’s expertise in the lighting industry.
COMMERCIAL DUE DILIGENCE AND VALUE ENHANCEMENT Niche Market for Woodworking Machinery
maconda supported Avedon Capital Partners in their investment in Altendorf, the leading German manufacturer of stationary woodworking machinery. As part of the Commercial Due Diligence, a market model was developed for the niche market, which was not covered by existing market studies, across several international markets. Based on this, attractive growth markets in Europe, America, and APAC were recommended. A key outcome of the Commercial Due Diligence was the recommendation of attractive growth markets in Europe, America, and APAC. Relevant market drivers such as digitalization and Industry 4.0 were evaluated by maconda, and a future-proof product and service concept was developed.
COMMERCIAL DUE DILIGENCE AND BUSINESS PLAN Private Label, Personal & Home Care, Packaging
The maconda experts advised another mid-sized financial investor on an investment decision. The target company specializes in private label products for leading retail chains and contract manufacturing for the personal and home care industry. The maconda consultants focused on the company’s unique technological position and core competencies, as well as customer relationships and future growth potential.
COMMERCIAL DUE DILIGENCE AND ROLL-OUT PLANNING Baked Goods and Snacks, Chain Restaurants, Branch Networks
maconda has repeatedly delved into regional and national bakery chains. In 2017, the consultants from Cologne assisted a financial investor with a Commercial Due
Diligence, among other projects. The target company: a provider of baked goods and snacks at high-traffic locations. Key aspects of the project included the heterogeneous competitive landscape in the out-of-home market, the performance of the branch network, and the analysis of further growth potential.
COMMERCIAL TRANSACTION SERVICES Denim and Trousers, Selective Distribution via Boutiques
With attention to detail – the maconda consumer goods team supported Findos Investor in their investment in Mos Mosh, a rapidly growing Scandinavian fashion label. To this end, maconda experts conducted a structured customer survey and carried out numerous store checks in Germany, Denmark, and the Netherlands.
